Apple Time Teas
To kick off the Fall season, please come join us for our Apple Time Teas being held Thursday September 24th through Monday September 28th. These teas will be served outdoors or are also available to go. The set menu is an Apple Themed version of our four course Cottage Classic Tea, including a cup of Hungarian Apple soup or house pumpkin soup with mini cheese scone, apple themed finger sandwiches and savories, scone with curd, apple butter and whipped cream, and apple themed dessert. Our Children’s Tea is also available for children under 12. We can also prepare Vegetarian and Gluten Free versions of this Tea with advance notice, so let us know your specific needs when you make your reservation. The cost is $29.95 for adults and $9.95 for the Children’s Tea excluding tax and gratuity. Seatings are at 11:30 am, 1:00 pm and 2:30 pm. Reservations are required and may be made online at firstname.lastname@example.org or by calling us at (760) 765-0832.
Please be assured that your health and our staff’s health is Julian Tea’s top priority. In accordance with the County of San Diego’s Department of Environmental Health guidelines for Safe Onsite Dining, we are implementing frequent cleaning and disinfecting procedures throughout the shop and serving food service outside or to go only, limiting the number of people in the shop at any given time and ensuring proper social distancing at all times. We will be enforcing a strict protocol of requiring face masks to be worn while in our shop and use of hand sanitizer upon entry. Due to the increased cleaning and disinfecting procedures required between seatings, our seating times will be set at 1 hour 15 minutes to allow adequate cleaning time between each seating.
You will find us at 2124 Third Street, one block off Main Street between Washington Street and B Street.
We stock a full line of English bone china as well as porcelain, ceramic, cast iron, stainless and glass teapots, and tea accoutrements. A vast array of teas, both bagged and loose, are available at the teashop and also by mail. Be sure to check out our full list of tea offerings here on our website and call us to place your order.
You will find a huge selection of tea related books for planning teas as well as general information on tea, and cookbooks for cooking, baking, serving and entertaining. Look for books throughout the store and in the Book Nook.
If you are looking for a special gift item, the teashop may have just what you need for that hard-to-please person. We have greeting cards for every occasion, stationary items, children’s books and tea sets, baby gift items and craft items made by local artisans. Seasonal gift items are stocked during the Valentine’s, St. Patrick’s, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons.
The upper floor of the teashop (dubbed the Culinary Corner) contains an entire housewares room as well as kitchen and tea linens, aprons, table top items, plus a Fashion Section and Cat Corner.
