When you visit Southern California, don’t miss the opportunity to experience an elegant Afternoon Tea in a charming turn-of-the-century home built in 1898 for the gold miner Clarence King. Julian Tea & Cottage Arts is located in the historic gold mining town of Julian, a quaint village of authentic old-west styled buildings nestled in the mountains amidst pine and oak forests just a scenic hour’s drive from San Diego.
You will find us at 2124 Third Street, one block off Main Street between Washington Street and B Street. Julian Tea is reopening on June 1st for shopping and dine in food service (see our Reopening Menu below). For now, we plan to be open 7 days a week from 10 AM to 4 PM for public shopping, offer dine in food service Thursday thru Monday by pre order reservations only and be open for shopping only on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We are also offering private shopping time slots by reservation between 9-10 AM, so call us at (760) 765-0832 or send us an email at email@example.com to make your dine-in or private shopping reservations.
We stock a full line of English bone china as well as porcelain, ceramic, cast iron, stainless and glass teapots, and tea accoutrements.
A vast array of teas, both bagged and loose, are available at the teashop and also by mail. Be sure to check out our full list of tea offerings here on our website and call us to place your order.
A wide variety of gourmet foods are also available, with featured products on display for sampling daily.
You will find a huge selection of tea related books for planning teas as well as general information on tea, and cookbooks for cooking, baking, serving and entertaining. Look for books throughout the store and in the Book Nook.
If you are looking for a special gift item, the teashop may have just what you need for that hard-to-please person. We have greeting cards for every occasion, stationary items, children’s books and tea sets, baby gift items and craft items made by local artisans. Seasonal gift items are stocked during the Valentine’s, St. Patrick’s, Easter, Halloween, Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons.
The upper floor of the teashop, dubbed the Culinary Corner, contains an entire housewares room as well as kitchen and tea linens, aprons, table top items and our Cat Corner.
